Since coming to the firm from San Antonio in 1991, I have worked for several partners in the litigation department, in all facets of the law, including FELA, breast implant/MDL, admiralty, and most recently, appellate. From October 1997 to November 2008, I have worked for a partner in the appellate section. My duties include drafting routine correspondence and pleadings, proofreading appellate briefs, cite-checking record references and case law citations, preparing tables of authority and tables of content, maintaining and distributing section appellate docket, billing, personal correspondence, and other routine secretarial and administrative duties. Authored Appellate Style Manual for use in all Firm’s Texas offices. Since November 2008 I have been working in the Firm’s Night Staff department assisting attorneys in all our local departments. I am called upon to perform not only secretarial tasks, but to proofread briefs and Client Development materials. I am skilled in the use of Westlaw and LEXIS for legal research.
